Chinese New Year is upon us, lunar festivals, raving rabbits.. well, perhaps at least those born in this year and 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999. In case you weren’t aware.. people born in the Year of the Rabbit are articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste. Rabbit people are admired, trusted, and are often financially lucky. They are fond of gossip but are tactful and generally kind. Rabbit people seldom lose their temper. They are clever at business and being conscientious, never back out of a contract. They would make good gamblers for they have the uncanny gift of choosing the right thing. However, they seldom gamble, as they are conservative and wise. They are most compatible with those born in the years of the Sheep, Pig, and Dog.
Oh well, guess this monkey isn’t exactly rabbit material. That’s quite alright, because I can at least enjoy a few mandarin inspired items today like this Mandarin top from ChiChi of London. There are three different “complete avatar looks” to pick from, but I liked the happiness of the orange color. Matched up with a pair of super cute little ballet flats from MB, the dark denim capris from [Cynful] & Co. (underwear layer.. for some reason and maybe it’s just me, the pants layer makes me have cankles.. oy), the leafy, almost spring look of the Shaka necklace from MANDALA, and the fun Frankie hair from Truth and I have a look that gets me out of the wintery funk and ready for the New Year (Chinese Edition).
